What Is a JPG to PDF Converter?

A JPG to PDF converter is a tool that takes one or more image files - photographs, scans, screenshots, or graphics - and converts them into a PDF document. Each image becomes a page in the resulting PDF, in the order you specify.

The conversion does not alter the image content - what you see in the image is what appears in the PDF. The tool simply wraps the image data in a PDF container, making it readable by any PDF viewer, uploadable to any government or institutional portal, and printable on any printer without formatting issues.

RepetiGo's image to PDF converter goes further than basic JPG conversion: it supports PNG files (screenshots, graphics with transparency), HEIC files (the default photo format on iPhones running iOS 11 and later), WEBP files (Google's modern image format used in browsers and Android), BMP, and GIF. You do not need to pre-convert your images - upload them directly in their original format.

💡 JPEG and JPG are the same format - just different file extensions. If your file is named 'document.jpeg' or 'document.jpg', both are accepted and processed identically. The converter treats them as the same format.

Every Image Format We Support.

Most JPG to PDF converters accept only JPG files. RepetiGo's converter accepts every common image format used in India - so you can upload directly from your phone's camera roll, your browser downloads, or your desktop without pre-converting.

JPG and JPEG - The Most Common Photo Format

JPG (and its identical twin JPEG) is the default photo format from most digital cameras, Android phones, and older iPhones. If you took a photo on an Android device or downloaded an image from the web, it is almost certainly a JPG. Upload it directly - no conversion step needed.

PNG - Screenshots, Graphics, and Transparent Images

PNG is the default format for screenshots on Windows and Mac, and is commonly used for graphics, logos, and images that need transparency. Government websites, educational institutions, and offices often use PNG for letterheads, stamps, and official marks. PNG files are accepted directly and converted without quality loss.

HEIC - iPhone's Default Photo Format

If you use an iPhone (running iOS 11 or later), your photos are saved in HEIC format by default - not JPG. HEIC files are smaller than JPG at the same quality, but they are not universally accepted by older systems and government portals. RepetiGo's converter accepts HEIC files directly. You do not need to change your iPhone settings or convert to JPG first. Upload your HEIC photo and download a standard PDF - compatible with any portal, printer, or PDF viewer.

This is the most common problem Indian iPhone users face when converting Aadhaar and PAN card photos: their phone saves the image as HEIC, which portals do not accept. RepetiGo solves this in one step.

WEBP, BMP, GIF - All Supported

WEBP is Google's modern image format, used by Chrome, Android, and many websites when you right-click and save an image. BMP is the legacy Windows bitmap format. GIF is used for graphics and animations. All three are accepted. The first frame of a GIF is used if the file is animated.

How to Convert JPG to PDF Online Free in 3 Steps.

Every conversion follows the same three steps. No account required, no daily limit.

Step 1 - Upload Your Image Files

Click the Upload button or drag and drop your image files into the upload area. You can upload multiple images at once - they will all be included in the same PDF, one image per page. Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, BMP, GIF. Maximum file size per image: [SIZE LIMIT]. Upload works on any device - iPhone, Android, Windows laptop, or Mac - from your browser. No app download required.

iPhone users: HEIC files upload directly without any pre-conversion. Go to Photos → select photo → share → select the image file → upload here.

Step 2 - Arrange and Configure

After upload, your images appear as a list with thumbnails. Drag and drop to reorder them - the image at the top becomes the first page of your PDF. You can also configure:

Page size - A4 (default, recommended for Indian portals), Letter, or Original Image Size

Orientation - Portrait (default) or Landscape

Margin - None (image fills the page), Small, or Standard

For government portal uploads (Aadhaar, PAN, scholarship forms): use A4 + Portrait + Standard margin for maximum compatibility.

Step 3 - Convert and Download Your PDF

Click Convert. Processing takes a few seconds for most images - HEIC files from high-resolution iPhone cameras may take up to 30 seconds per image. When complete, a download button appears. Click it to save your PDF. Your uploaded images and the converted PDF are automatically deleted from our servers within 60 minutes. The original images on your device are not affected.

📱 The JPG to PDF converter works on mobile browsers - Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. On iPhone: go to Photos → share → select 'Save to Files' to get a shareable file, then upload here. Or simply tap the upload area in your browser - you will be prompted to choose from Photos directly.

🇮🇳 RepetiGo's JPG to PDF converter is the only free online converter built with Indian document workflows in mind. HEIC support for iPhone users, A4 page size as default, and Aadhaar/PAN use cases built into the tool configuration - not an afterthought.

How to Convert Multiple JPG Images into One PDF.

The most common advanced use case: a student needs to submit their Aadhaar card, PAN card, marksheet, and a certificate - all as one combined PDF. Each document is a separate phone photo. The converter handles this in one session.

To combine multiple JPG images into one PDF: upload all your image files at once (or one by one), arrange them in the correct order using drag-and-drop (Aadhaar first, PAN second, marksheet third, certificate last), and click Convert. The resulting PDF contains all images as separate pages in the order you specified.

There is no limit on the number of images per conversion session within the total file size limit of [SIZE LIMIT]. For a typical set of 4–6 phone photos of Indian identity documents, this is well within the limit.

✅ After converting multiple images to one PDF, if the resulting file is too large for a portal's upload limit, use the Compress PDF tool at /pdf-tools/compress-pdf to reduce the file size. The compress tool works perfectly on PDFs created by the image converter.

Does Converting JPG to PDF Reduce Image Quality?

No - the conversion is lossless by default. When an image is converted to PDF using the standard settings, the image data is embedded in the PDF container without re-compression. What you see in the original image is exactly what appears in the PDF.

There is one exception: if you choose Maximum compression during PDF creation (a setting for very large files), image quality may be slightly reduced in exchange for a much smaller file size. RepetiGo's default setting is Standard - no quality reduction.

Conversion SettingImage Quality in PDFFile SizeWhen to Use
Standard (Default)Identical to original - no quality reductionApproximately same as input image(s)Portal uploads, official submissions, printing - always use for Aadhaar and PAN
Compressed OutputSlightly reduced - smaller images within PDFSignificantly smallerWhen output PDF exceeds portal file size limit and standard output is rejected

For Aadhaar and PAN card submissions, always use Standard conversion - portals and systems that verify identity documents require clear, uncompressed images. If the standard output is too large, compress it afterwards using the Compress PDF tool rather than reducing quality during conversion.

JPG to PDF for Print Shops - The Automated Way.

Print shop owners and cyber cafe operators regularly receive customer image files - phone photos of Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, certificates, forms - that need to be printed. The standard workflow is to receive the image on WhatsApp, open it on a computer, adjust print settings, and print. This takes 3–5 minutes per image and creates data privacy risks.

PrintPilot - RepetiGo's print shop software - eliminates this manual workflow. When a customer uploads an image file via QR code, the PrintPilot AI automatically converts it to a print-ready PDF - handling format conversion (including HEIC from iPhones), image enhancement, orientation correction, and print optimisation - before the job reaches the print queue. No manual conversion needed.

🖨️ A customer scans the QR code at your counter, uploads their iPhone HEIC photo of their Aadhaar card. PrintPilot automatically converts it from HEIC to a print-ready PDF, enhances the image quality, and sends it to the print queue - in under 30 seconds, without you doing anything.

Common Questions About Converting JPG to PDF Online Free.

Q1: How do I convert a JPG to PDF online for free in India?

Q2: How do I convert my Aadhaar or PAN card photo to PDF?

This is the most common use case in India. If you took a phone photo of your Aadhaar or PAN card, upload it directly to the converter - JPG (Android), HEIC (iPhone), or PNG (screenshot) are all accepted. Select A4 page size, Portrait orientation, and Standard conversion. Download the PDF. The output PDF is accepted by government portals, educational institutions, bank applications, and most document submission systems in India.

Q3: How do I convert multiple photos to one PDF?

Upload all your images at once using the multi-file upload. After uploading, arrange the images in the correct order using drag-and-drop - the first image in the list becomes page 1 of the PDF. Click Convert. All images are combined into a single PDF with one image per page. This is the standard workflow for combining Aadhaar, PAN, marksheet, and certificate photos into one submission PDF.

Q4: Can I convert PNG to PDF using this tool?

Yes. PNG is fully supported alongside JPG. The converter handles PNG files without any additional steps - upload your PNG, configure the output, and download your PDF. PNG files are commonly used for screenshots on Windows and Mac, and for images that include logos, stamps, or transparent backgrounds. Transparency in PNG files is preserved in the PDF output - the transparent areas appear as white in the PDF because PDF pages have a white background by default.

Q5: How do I combine multiple JPG images into one PDF?

Upload all your JPG (or PNG, HEIC, WEBP) images in one session. The converter supports multiple files per conversion. After upload, drag and drop to arrange them in the order you want in the final PDF. Each image becomes one page in the PDF, in the order you specified. Click Convert and download the combined PDF. For combining Aadhaar, PAN, marksheet, and certificates into one file - this takes under 2 minutes.

Q6: Does converting JPG to PDF reduce image quality?

No - at the default Standard setting, conversion is lossless. The image is embedded in the PDF exactly as it is, without re-compression. What you see in the original photo is what appears in the PDF. The only exception is the Compressed Output option, which reduces image resolution for a smaller file size - this is optional and not the default. For official document submissions (Aadhaar, PAN, certificates), always use Standard conversion to preserve full image quality.

Q7: Can I convert HEIC to PDF directly, without converting to JPG first?

Yes. HEIC files are accepted directly - you do not need to convert from HEIC to JPG first. Simply upload your HEIC file from your iPhone's Photos app or Files app, and the converter handles the format transformation as part of the PDF creation process. This is particularly important for iPhone users in India who take photos of identity documents: the phone saves them as HEIC by default, but government portals require PDF. RepetiGo converts HEIC directly to PDF in one step.

Q8: How do I convert JPG to PDF on my iPhone, Android phone, or Mac?

On iPhone: open Safari or Chrome, tap Upload, and choose a photo from Photos or Files. The HEIC format from iPhone is accepted directly. On Android: open Chrome, tap Upload, and select from Files or Gallery. JPG files from Android cameras upload directly. On Mac or Windows: open any browser, drag your image file into the upload area, or click Upload and select it from Finder or File Explorer.

Q9: Is it safe to upload my Aadhaar or PAN card photo to this tool?

RepetiGo's tool uses HTTPS for all transfers. Images are processed in isolated temporary sessions with no user account linkage. All files are automatically deleted within 60 minutes of download. No image content is read, analysed, or stored for any purpose other than creating your PDF. For Indian users converting identity documents, this privacy protection is substantially stronger than sharing the same photo over WhatsApp, which stores it permanently on the recipient's device.

Q10: What is the maximum file size for uploading images?

Each image can be up to [SIZE LIMIT] in file size. For multiple images in one session, the total combined size should not exceed [TOTAL SIZE LIMIT]. Phone photos of documents typically range from 1–5 MB each, well within the limit. If an image exceeds the limit, reduce its resolution on your device before uploading, or use the camera's standard mode for document photos.

Q11: What is the difference between JPG to PDF and PDF to JPG?

JPG to PDF converts images into a PDF document - your photos or screenshots become pages in a PDF. This is used when you need to submit image files in PDF format for portals, institutions, or printing. PDF to JPG (reverse direction) extracts pages from an existing PDF document and saves them as image files - useful when you need to share individual pages as images or edit PDF content in an image editor. RepetiGo offers both: JPG to PDF and PDF to JPG at the PDF to JPG tool.
